How to make million(s) of dollars from SEO-Part 2

Yesterday, I attended a webinar from Siimon Reynolds who made millions of dollars online. He shared some really valuable insights on making millions of dollars in business. I could see immediately how many of those inights can be applied to SEO.

For instance, Siimon mentioned that to be successful, it is better to be in :

  • A Growth Market
  • In a Niche
  • Where competition is not too high

In the context of SEO, one can find out the keywords with rising search volume. (The Breakout Terms) in Google Insights. This can help in finding out which products and services you should focus on. Having found a growth market, the next step is to make sure that you are in a niche.  Defining what niche you want to play in can well be the difference between success and failure. For instance, if you are in the recruitment business, you could decide to focus on a few verticals (e.g fashion, lifestyle, digital etc) instead of catering to everyone. This will make your website specific to the needs of a target market and you can aim for market leadership faster. You should also keep in mind that the most competitive keywords or even those with the highest search volumes are not necessarily the best ones. While performing SEO for a car company, we found that there were many less competitive keywords which resulted in a sale (e.g toyota camary hybrid 2010) as compared to ‘toyota cars’ which have a higher search volume.

Over the past decade, I have seen people make fortunes online . The winners follow the rules. They do not get lost in the crowd. They either do different things or do things differently.  We at Arrow would love to point you in the right direction!
